Another stolen Integra
![]() 11/03/2015 at 23:56 |
|
I’m sure it is already being stripped and sorted out for sale. :(
![]() 11/03/2015 at 23:57 |
|
Parts already on craigslist
![]() 11/03/2015 at 23:57 |
|
At this point, I assume every Integra I see on the road was stolen.
![]() 11/03/2015 at 23:58 |
|
Safe assumption honestly
![]() 11/03/2015 at 23:58 |

Isn’t the Integra still in the top 10 most stolen cars in America? I get that it’s desirable, but come on, It can’t be that easy to steal. Or are they?
![]() 11/03/2015 at 23:59 |

As someone who once had one...theyre pretty easy to get into even when locked and I’m sure it cant be hard to get moving

If it’s easy, why don’t people just add an alarm?
![]() 11/04/2015 at 00:03 |
|
My ‘92 Integra was stolen when I was 19.
![]() 11/04/2015 at 00:04 |
|
Cause people are dumb.
![]() 11/04/2015 at 00:04 |
|
I’m very curious as to why that specific car is such a target.
![]() 11/04/2015 at 00:04 |
|
Sigh..
![]() 11/04/2015 at 00:05 |
|
Parts are can be stripped quickly, not exactly hard to get into, and theres always a demand for the cars as a whole or parts...plus there’s a metric shit ton of them
![]() 11/04/2015 at 00:06 |
|
If I had an Integra (god I wish) that would be the first thing. Get an alarm and maybe some better locks/keys.
![]() 11/04/2015 at 00:06 |
|
Just an alarm isn’t going to cut it.
1. Buy an alarm
2. Get a REALLY good install on the alarm.
3. Install a fuel cut-off switch.
4. Buy a clutch lock.
5. When parking your car, turn the wheel all the way to the left (or right). Lock the column.
6. Park under bright lights.
7. Park it in a garage.
8. Install a back-up siren with a back up battery.
9. Lo-Jack
10. Alarm with a pager.
All in hind-sight, I know. I hope your friend finds her Integra.

I don’t even know this person who had their car stolen but it really does suck. But your list is a great one if you have a desirable car.
![]() 11/04/2015 at 00:07 |

Not just Integras. Most Hondas are thief magnets because so many of them are on the road and parts are in high demand.
![]() 11/04/2015 at 00:09 |

I got a quick release wheel when i had my integra. I gave zero shits walking around campus with a steering wheel, at least my car wasn’t going anywhere
![]() 11/04/2015 at 00:09 |
|
Ah.
It sucks that is what needs to happen for a 20 year old car.
![]() 11/04/2015 at 00:11 |
|
That’s actually a good idea for not getting it stolen.
![]() 11/04/2015 at 00:11 |
|
And there’s lots of people who want to save the Integras.
![]() 11/04/2015 at 00:12 |
|
I think it’s still one of the most stolen in America.
![]() 11/04/2015 at 00:13 |

as the VAST majority of the owners of this car that I’ve met in real life wound up being dealers, lowlifes, scum, druggies, and\or complete jackasses, I feel no sympathy for a driver of a stanced "teggy"
![]() 11/04/2015 at 00:14 |
|
That too. If it is too much of a pain, buy a bike lock and latch your steering wheel onto one of your many bars in the trunk (top rear strut mount bar, etc)

:[ I promise we’re not all dicks

oh, you seem like a very nice guy. and the ones that are set up to go around a track tend to have cool owners as well.
It’s the stanced ones and the “street racer” ones that I’m pissed about. One of my closest friends lost one of her closer friends when a driver of one of these decided street racing on the wrong side of the road was a good idea. he was riding shotgun in the teg, and according to the cops and my friend, was practically beheaded in the head-on crash Most of the dirtbags at my school who deal drugs have at one time owned a teg. The “bad part” of town has 4 of these (1 sedan, 3 coupes) all stanced with straight pipes. these guys go around trying to race people like me (which I usually respond to with a heavy right foot and a bird through the window)
So yes, I pretty strong distain for a good portion of owners of these cars, and will judge them until they prove me wrong (which you have, as you seem to be a nice guy, and I’d gladly go out and grab a burger with you, and talk car)

Sadly though I do understand where you are coming from. I use to hang out with guys while in HS, one had a DA and he was exactly what you described above. Burgers on me
![]() 11/04/2015 at 00:24 |
|
heh, looks like the Honda stereotype is true...
It’s okay though, as I drive a fancy-pants jetta. You don’t wanna know how many basic white girl comments I get on my car, even though it keeps up with most cheap-ish sports car.
And i'll take you up on the burger offer, and insist we split the tab! now if only you lived near me... (Seattle, WA represent!)

Well see the best burger place is down here in central jersey haha
![]() 11/04/2015 at 00:30 |

So one thing I’ve always been curious about these older Acuras. Would it be possible to get an OEM security system from a newer TL and frankenstein it in? I mean they had pretty rudimentary alarm systems back then. What’s the issue with that?
![]() 11/04/2015 at 00:34 |

Time and money most likely
![]() 11/04/2015 at 01:24 |

Hey, I resemble that statement, sir!
I BID YOU GOOD DAY.
![]() 11/04/2015 at 06:24 |

I must know more about this central Jersey burger place...

Damn, that's North Jersey to this Southern Jerseyan. lol
![]() 11/04/2015 at 08:22 |

Its central jersey to me haha. Totally worth the trip honestly

I’m confused... where do you guys live where Integras just disappear off the streets? I mean in my neck of the woods sketchy stuff happens but not with enough consistency to make it where EVERYONE with an Integra should be worried. I actually don’t think I’ve seen mention of one getting stolen at all around here. Plenty of people getting into each other garages and jacking parts when they post up that they are working on something, but that’s about as intense as it gets.

North Jersey. Most are stolen from Newark, Elizabeth, Perth Amboy
